GlowMuse Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Scope GlowMuse (formerly Lumi Edit) is an independent photo editor provided by Molly Lu. This policy covers photo processing, local storage, online help and legal pages, and information you voluntarily send to support.
Photos and local processing Photos you choose or capture are edited on your device. The app does not upload photos, edit parameters or source metadata to developer-operated servers, or use your photos to train the developer's models. The current photo picker and camera flows process still images. Editing sessions and undo history support the current operation and are not automatically saved as recoverable projects. Unsaved changes may be lost when you leave editing or the system terminates the app.
Local editing data Available editing tools depend on the installed version and include Crop, Adjust, Filters and Healing Brush. Healing Brush uses the area you paint and nearby image texture for local repairs; it does not automatically identify people or detect blemishes. Edit parameters and image caches serve the current session and are not uploaded to the developer or stored as identity profiles.
In versions with background blur, subject masks and any face positions or landmarks needed for editing are processed locally for the current editing session. They are not used to identify or authenticate people, uploaded to developer-operated servers, or retained as identity profiles. Detection can be imperfect; review the result before saving.
Photo and camera permissions Opening the photo picker requests photo access when needed and displays only photos and albums you authorize. You may allow selected photos and change access in system Settings. Camera access is requested only when you choose to take a photo; captures are not automatically written to Photos. Saving requests permission to add photos when needed and creates a separate copy without overwriting or deleting the original. Refusing permission affects the corresponding feature and does not grant the app access to unauthorized photos.
Local preferences and temporary files Preferences such as saving format, quality, size and favorite filters are stored locally to remember your choices and are not automatically sent to the developer. You can change these settings or remove favorites in their respective screens. Deleting the app removes its local data; system backup and restore may retain or restore some app data according to your device settings.
Preparing a share creates a temporary image with file protection. The app attempts to delete it when the share sheet finishes or is cancelled. Failed deletion or an abnormal exit may leave files behind; the next share preparation attempts to remove files older than one day from the dedicated sharing directory. The system may also clear temporary storage. Copies saved to Photos or passed to another app are not app temporary files and must be managed in Photos or the receiving service. Current still-image exports re-encode pixels without copying source location or camera metadata; the image itself may still reveal personal or location information.
Apple services and sharing If a selected photo is stored only in iCloud, Apple Photos services may download it over the network. When you choose to share, the system passes the prepared image to the app or service you select; the recipient's policies govern further processing. Opening Settings, Help or legal pages does not send your edited photos to those webpages. Apple Photos, iCloud, backup and system diagnostics operate under your settings and Apple's policies.
Help and legal webpages Help, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use in Settings load public webpages and require an internet connection. The primary website is https://glowmuse.top and is hosted by Cloudflare; earlier app versions may use the original GitHub Pages addresses. Failed loads offer retry without local document content. Requests for pages and their images provide the hosting service with ordinary request data, such as IP address, request time and path, and browser information, to deliver and secure the service. We add no analytics, tracking scripts or advertising cookies. In-app webpages use temporary website data storage; this does not mean the hosting provider keeps no service logs. GitHub states that GitHub Pages logs and stores visitor IP addresses for security. Cloudflare also processes website requests to deliver and secure the primary website. Each hosting provider manages retention and deletion of its service logs; deleting this app does not delete those logs, and we cannot directly delete logs held only by a hosting provider. Support and retention Only if you send an email do we receive your email address, message and attachments, to respond, resolve issues and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Private photos or identity documents are not required; please avoid unnecessary personal information. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes and obligations, and is not used for advertising. Use the email below to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent to support. We do not have a server-side copy of your locally edited photos to retrieve.
Third parties and processing across regions Web hosting and email providers process information needed for their services under their own policies, potentially outside your country or region. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or track your activity across other apps or websites. The current version has no account registration, ad loading, analytics or subscription purchase flow. Local image processing operates separately from the web and email services described above.
Legacy home covers The current version has no settings entry to add, replace or clear a home cover and cannot read your system wallpaper. A cover saved in an older version may remain locally. Legacy cover files use file protection and are excluded from device backups. Deleting the app removes the local copy without changing the original in Photos.
Your choices and rights You can change system permissions, cancel editing, decide whether to save or share, change local preferences, or delete the app. Where applicable law provides rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, restrict or object to processing of support information, contact the email below. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority. We handle requests under applicable requirements and may request information reasonably needed to verify them; unrelated private photos or identity information are not required.
Children and security The app is not intended to collect children's personal information. Minors should obtain any parental consent or guidance required by applicable law when using the app or editing and sharing photos of others. Contact us if you believe a child sent support information that should not be retained. The app uses local processing, system app isolation and applicable file protection, but cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and choose sharing recipients carefully.
Policy updates We publish revised policies and update dates on this page. For material changes to information handling, we will provide explanations and obtain consent where required. Updating this policy does not replace authorization required by law. You can review the current policy in Settings.
